For the greyhounds, turn-out time often means a friendly hug by a caring volunteer.
Kennel volunteers are trained and work under supervision until they, and we, feel comfortable they can handle any situation that might arise. Assigned turn-out times accommodate your schedule.
Volunteers may work as much as one shift a
week or as little as one a month, depending on how much time they have to give.
Don't be shy about volunteering; there's always room for an extra helper.

We run four turn-out shifts each day. Each shift lasts about two and a half hours, and there's always room for an extra hand. Volunteers feed, supervise, make beds, do laundry, and other tasks that keep a 30-dog kennel running smoothly, including providing important human affection and interaction.
Greyhounds are particularly voice-sensitive and respond well to one-on-one communication from the volunteers.
